“How did you make the sheep get big?”
Three-year-old audience member at a festival screening today for my short film. Actually, she pronounced it “seep.” Also, the expanding sheep were in another film altogether. An animated film, at that. It was very cute, and she was very sweet for asking. Sadly, her embarrassment at asking the question, particularly as it caused some nearby grownups to laugh, led to tears. Poor kid—I felt bad. Hopefully, she won’t look back on it as a traumatic experience.
